My Father provides for me a peaceful dwelling place. A place of rest, comfort and peace from my journey.
The 23rd Psalm is used many times in reference to those that have a Going home ceremony. I would like to use its comfort for my day.
The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul:
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name' sake.
Yea, though I walk through the
valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.
I will fear no evil: For thou art with me;
Thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou annointest my head with oil; My cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy
shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.
and I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever.
When I think about the green pastures, the still water what joy and peace I find. The comfort in knowing that no matter the cause that my Lord restores my soul.
It has been a year since I have picked up my keyboard to write on this blog. A lot has happened in the year. I had great anxiety last time and had to look to the Word for answers. I was in a car accident on that journey I took last year. And that accident has lead me to the peaceful dwelling of the Father. I remain amongst the living and I seek to do the will of the Father.
So to today, to yesterday and tomorrow I say: Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.
