My Auntie Angela, sent me an email today. An email that
reminded me of whose I am, whose my brother is,
whose Kel, Mecci, Taylor, Age, Laianna is.
We as adults have trouble relating to the level of
rebellion and strife that we confront in todays youth.
God has provided us a scripture appropriate
for the struggle we face.
1 Corinthians 3:6-8 (New Living Translation)
6) I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow. 7) It’s not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What’s important is that God makes the seed grow. 8) The one who plants and the one who waters work together with the same purpose. And both will be rewarded for their own hard work.
We as disciples are to plant the seeds, supply them with the tools,
the information. But it is God's hand, god's spirit that does all the rest.
If we train up these children in the ways of the Lord,
when they are old they will not depart.
This is what my auntie reminded me of, we train, we plant,
God gives the Increase as he sees fit.
